Flytedesk wants to help you create more advertising opportunities for your local and national clients. Newsracks (and their broader category, “out-of-home”) are one of the fastest growing products for college media. Of the 10 publishers who earned the most revenue from flytedesk in 2022, eight of the top ten offered newsrack advertising.
The flytedesk newsrack initiative started in 2019 with the goal of bringing fresh, standard newsracks equipped with advertising space that you can monetize immediately. We have since shipped over 300 panels to student media organizations across the country, generating hundreds of thousands of dollars in new revenue.

We created the flytedesk digital units with two goals in mind: to find a way to help publishers generate more revenue and to make digital ad serving as seamless as possible.
Flytedesk Digital are premium ad units. We pay a premium rate of $15 CPM for every unit while live on your website. The best part about Flytedesk Digital units is that they do not interfere with your available ad units for local buyers because we serve them in select premium spaces only.

Once a year, we accept invitations for the Flytedesk Innovation Lab, an intensive program focused on tackling larger-scale projects than a student news organization can usually accomplish during a normal school year.
Through group sessions on project management and audience engagement, our coaches work with your student media organization to create a custom roadmap to ramp up your audience or revenue strategy.
