In the 2024 election cycle, this program was proven to be a meaningful way to support student media organizations, helping them strengthen their coverage and better serve their campus communities. Building on that success, we’re excited to bring the program back for the 2026 midterms with a continued focus on supporting smaller organizations as they build sustainable products. Student media organizations in qualifying states can apply for one of five $2,000 grants to help fund election coverage and ensure students have access to timely, relevant information.
Who is eligible?
Eligible organizations for the flytedesk Campus Voice Election Grant include:
- Small campus media organizations in key election states (AZ, CA, CO, GA, IA, IL, KS, KY, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, NC, NH, NJ, NM, NV, OH, PA, TX, VA, WI)
- Small student media organizations that otherwise would struggle to afford to create new media
- Organizations seeking additional funding to support their operations.
Note: The grant program is intended for student media programs with very limited resources. Know that we are also offering a Premium Election Reservation Program for larger publications. While the grant program offers an upfront payment, many publishers can earn more total revenue via the reservations program. If you aren't sure which program is best for your organization, feel free to apply to either one, and our applications team will help match you to the program that best meets your needs.
How it works

- Successful applicants will receive notification of grant approval, along with any additional instructions or requirements for accepting the grant.
- Once the grant agreement is signed, $1,000 will be paid by October 1st. The remaining $1,000 will be paid after the election, upon full completion and verification of all required media. Grant recipients may choose to receive funds via ACH deposit or a paper check.
