Flytedesk is a media technology startup in Boulder, CO that helps brands, campaigns, and causes mobilize the college audience. We partner with over 2,000 colleges and universities and provide the technology that powers media and advertising on campus. Since 2013, the largest brands have trusted us with their college advertising strategy across print, digital, OOH, social, and more.
In February 2020, we launched a campus influencer network. Students whose follower counts range from 1,000 to 10,000,000 or who have an outsized influence on campus by nature of their position or volunteer work can get paid to help national brands, campaigns, and causes reach students like never before.

Current students with a minimum of 1,000 followers on Instagram or 5,000 followers on TikTok can sign up to promote brands or causes that want to tap into their network to reach the greater student body.
Fill out the form at the bottom of this page, and a flytedesk rep will review your submission, and reach out to you directly. (Note: If you do not have enough followers, have inappropriate content, or otherwise don't meet our requirements, you will not be approved.)
If you are selected to work on a campaign, you will receive a brief and a flytedesk rep will be available to answer any questions.
Note: Influencers are encouraged to only work with brands, campaigns, and causes that are authentic to their personal brand. Influencers can reject any opportunity that doesn’t feel like a fit.
Will I be paid for every post?
Yes. Influencers with fewer than 10,000 followers will receive at least $50 per post for their participation. Influencers with more than 10,000 followers will receive at least $100 per post. (Influencers with significantly more than 10,000 followers can be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.) Flytedesk may take up to two weeks to provide payment once the content has been posted. Flytedesk provides payment via ACH or check.
How will I know what to post?
When a brand, campaign, or cause is interested in partnering with you, you'll receive a detailed brief which will outline everything you need to know about the brand and message. Influencers are encouraged to read briefs carefully and only participate in campaigns where they agree with the message, are aligned with the brand, and can put in full effort to ensure positive results.
How much money can I expect to earn?
Expect to earn anywhere from $50-$2,500 per semester, depending on how many followers you have, how often you are selected to post, and how many posts you accept.
Note: influencers are considered independent contractors. If you earn more than $600 per year you will be required to fill out a W9 form and will be liable for federal taxes on that income.
What channels are acceptable?
We’re primarily interested in Instagram, but accept TikTok on a case-by-case basis. Some campaigns will allow you to choose the platform, while others might be more specific.
Can I be an influencer if my account is private?
Unfortunately, no. Your profile must be public in order to be an influencer. (However, if your Instagram profile is private, you can still be a TikTok influencer.)
Do I need an Instagram Business or TikTok Pro account?
Yes! It is critical that we are able to get insights from your posts so we can measure the success of each campaign. Upgrading to a Business/Pro account is free and doesn't otherwise impact your account.
